Brazil has two finalists competing in the 7 natural wonders of the planet

The Amazon and the Iguazu Falls are among the 28 finalists of the contest that will elect the Seven New Wonders of Nature. A group of analysts have ranked 77 candidates shortlisted by millions of netizens.
The list of finalists includes places such as the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, the Black Forest in Germany, and the Dead Sea. The Maldives Islands, Vesuvius Volcano in Italy, the Grand Canyon in the United States, and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania are also up for grabs.
The group of experts who elected the classified includes the Brazilian ecologist Ana Paula Tavares. Analysts took into account factors such as the beauty of the sites, diversity, ecological importance and geographical location.
